2014年扬大附中“中美教育教学论坛”圆满落幕

619日下午,扬大附中第三届“中美基础教育论坛”在掌声中拉开帷幕。本次论坛主题为“家校合作”,重点聚焦家校合作形式及其对学生发展的影响。美国俄勒冈州基础教育专家Mark Alan MolnerRandi Jean Shol作了专题发言,青年友好使者Royce Gist也谈了切身体会。我校30多名学校年轻教师和论坛爱好者全程参与了活动,并就家校合作议题和专家们进行了深度交流。论坛双方都直观地感受到中美教育的异同,进一步认识到了教育的文化特征,意识到了教育需不断审视自我,汲取本民族的精华,借鉴国外的精髓,才会永葆活力。

On the afternoon of June 19th, the Third Sino-US Basic Education Forum by High School Affiliated to Yangzhou University kicked off in an applause. This year’s forum deals with Home School Co-operation, focusing on cooperation methods and influence on the development of students. USA experts in basic education Mark Alan Molner and Randi Jean Shol made presentations and youth friendly envoy Royce Gist also shared his experiences. More than 30 school young teachers and forum enthusiasts participated in activities, comparing notes with foreign experts on home school cooperation issue in depth. Both sides of the forum felt intuitively the differences in education between China and the US. They further understood the cultural features of both education systems and realized the demand that teachers should constantly examine themselves, learn the essence of the nation and refer to foreign essence as well. Only in this way can education last its vitality.

论坛开始,副校长何继刚简要介绍了扬大附中一年一度举办的教育论坛情况,充分肯定了教育论坛给学校教育教学产生的正能量。论坛期间,Mark Alan Molner先生从家校合作的意义谈起,详细介绍了美国基础教育所承担的责任,以及家校合作的具体活动、过程、内容。而Randi Jean Shol女士则从家校合作的个体(如行政、教师本人、家长自身)、学校活动、社区服务等方面,具体介绍了家校合作的内容和形式。作为美国中学生的代表,青年友好使者Royce也以自己成长经历为例,谈了家校合作活动的重要性和对学生个人成长所起到的积极作用,发言的自始至终他都尽量用普通话表达,激起了大家的一阵阵掌声。接着,副校长何继刚、李岚以及其他参与活动的老师就家校合作制度、考核、评价等诸多议题和外宾进行了交流和讨论。

At the beginning, vice principal He Jigang briefly introduced the series of the school unique Education Forums held annually. He fully affirmed the positive energy of education forum for school education. During the forum, Mr Mark Alan Molner talked about the significance of home school cooperation, introduced in detail the America basic education responsibility, specific activities of home school cooperation, its process and content, while Ms Randi Jean Shol centered her topic around home school cooperation individuals, such as administration, teachers, parents etc and school activities and community services, focusing on the content and form of home school cooperation. Royce Gist, youth friendly envoy and the only US student representative, talked about the positive effects of home school cooperation on students' personal growth with his own experiences as examples. His perseverance in trying to express himself in Mandarin aroused bursts of applauses from the audience. Then, vice principals He Jigang and Li Lan and teachers present exchanged views and discussed with foreign experts concerning issues of the operating system set for home school cooperation, its assessment, evaluation etc.

为了更好促进教师发展,加强国际交流合作,扬大附中已围绕基础教育的热门话题,连续举办三届中美教育教学论坛,为中美教育的民间交流与研讨搭建了平台,为参会的双方提供了了解和学习国外基础教育的机会,开阔了他们的视野,为推进学校进一步改革提供了借鉴,也为学校今后教育研究与实践拓展了思路。这次活动的顺利开展无疑会对传统教育,特别是家校合作的开展产生积极影响,对构建更加和谐的附中校园起到积极的推动作用。

        In order to better promote the development of teachers, strengthen international exchanges and co-operations, High School Affiliated to Yangzhou University has held three China US Basic Education Forums on hot topics. The forums have helped build a platform for the non-governmental exchanges, conduct researches on Sino-US education, and provide opportunities for both teachers and students to understand and learn American basic education. They have broadened horizons for teachers of both countries, achieved abundant references for the promotion of school reforms, and also been provided with a new way for the school education research and practice in the near future. The activities carried out smoothly will undoubtedly have a positive effect on traditional education, especially on home school cooperation, and play a positive role in constructing a more harmonious campus for High School Affiliated to Yangzhou University.
